Hi, my name is Ruth aka The Sassy Baker. I am a Black Deaf entrepreneur who loves to bake. I aim to help the Deaf and hearing level up their baking skills. This business started because I was looking for baking videos in ASL during the lockdown and didn't find much so I decided to make my own YouTube channel, The Sassy Baker, and then two years later was given the idea to create a business. Not only do my sassy bakers learn how to bake but on my website there are also blog posts and videos about Deaf culture thus bridging the gap between our worlds. I want to make baking accessible to my Deaf community and help the hearing understand what it really means to be Deaf. Bake it With Sass is not just a video library but also a community where sassy bakers can ask questions, share wins, and learn from each other.
